If you have stayed with us at the Berthoud Inn & Events before, you may now know that Ice Cream will be served as the third course for every breakfast.
As a kid, Mark Chaffee, Innkeeper and our cook, used to love eating ice cream for breakfast, but was always told by his parents that he couldn't have any.
Now that he is an adult, he enjoys serving ice cream to our guests, as a special treat to end a glamorous spread of breakfast courses.
According to a recent Japanese study, eating ice cream in the morning can have positive effects on your energy and mental awareness. If you are interested in reading a little bit more into this, just follow the link below.

Today we can officially show how excited we are for Christmas. It is December 1st and so we decided to spruce up our Inn and get into the holiday spirit. Christmas wreaths and lights are being hung up, new table decorations are being carefully selected and red poinsettas are placed around the house.
Our guests can enjoy some freshly brewed hot coffee daily from 6am until 2pm or hot tea from Colorado and hot chocolate any time during the day. Watch out for tomorrow's blog post as we will be sharing our innkeeper's special Hot Apple Cider recipe with you.
Also, watch out for our announcement of our new Berthoud Inn and Events mugs, as they are on their way and will arrive shortly at the inn. These mugs are perfect for any hot beverage and can be purchased by anyone who would like one.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We would like to take this opportunity and thank each and everyone of our guests who have stayed with us in the past. Thank you for becoming friends with us and sharing your amazing stories with us. Thank you for always enjoying our breakfasts with us and thank you for always coming back.

The past few weeks have been unusually warm for Colorado.
The Rocky Mountains have already gotten a few snow days and some ski areas opened up for season (Loveland Ski Area opens today!) and are ready to entertain ski and snowboard enthusiasts, but down here, along the foothills, we have yet to see a snow fall. The average date for the first snowfall in Denver, CO is October 18th and we are nearing our record for the latest first measurable snowfall, which is Nov. 21st, 1934.
With the temperatures ranging between 60 and 80 Fahrenheit, this November sure feels a bit like Summer.
This is a great opportunity to take the weekends off and relax a couple of days. Consider visiting the Berthoud Inn & Events and enjoy a relaxing walk through our beautiful little town. Or consider visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and admire the beautiful scenery of the yellow, red, and green speckled mountains.
According to the weather forecast, we will be having sunny weather until at least mid November.
