If you have stayed with us at the Berthoud Inn & Events before, you may know that ice cream will be served as the last course for every breakfast.
As a kid, our Innkeeper's mom used to ask him what he'd like for breakfast. He'd reply, 'ice cream, ice cream!' She'd reply, 'you can't have ice cream for breakfast'. Now Mark and his guests enjoy ice cream for breakfast every day. According to a recent Japanese study, eating ice cream in the morning can have positive effects on your energy and mental awareness. The past few weeks have been unusually warm for Colorado.
The Rocky Mountains have already gotten a few snow days and some ski areas opened up for season (Loveland Ski Area opens today!) and are ready to entertain ski and snowboard enthusiasts, but down here, along the foothills, we have yet to see a snow fall. The average date for the first snowfall in Denver, CO is October 18th and we are nearing our record for the latest first measurable snowfall, which is Nov. 21st, 1934. With the temperatures ranging between 60 and 80 Fahrenheit, this November sure feels a bit like Summer. This is a great opportunity to take the weekends off and relax a couple of days. Consider visiting the Berthoud Inn & Events and enjoy a relaxing walk through our beautiful little town. Or consider visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and admire the beautiful scenery of the yellow, red, and green speckled mountains. According to the weather forecast, we will be having sunny weather until at least mid November. |
